Srinagar/May, 5: Suspected militants late Friday evening entered into the residential house of a Civilian Mohammad Ashraf Mir son of Jamal Mir at Harwan in Bomai area of Sopore and fired upon him and his wife. Both were injured critically in this incident and were evacuated to Sub District Hospital Sopore however Mohammad Ashraf Mir succumbed to his injuries.
In a statement police said ‘one Mohammad Ashraf Mir aged 35 years was a driver by profession. Mir had received a bullet injury in his chest. At Sub District Hospital Sopore he was declared brought dead.His wife Saima aged 32 was also shot in both legs. She was also taken to SD Hospital Sopore where from she has been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatmentPolice has started investigation of the instant case’.
