Srinagar: Locals caught hold of a thief when he broke into a house of a doctor in Narsingh Garh Karan Nagar area of Srinagar city.
A police official said that two little kids of a Doctor in absence of their parents after returning from school find a burglar inside their house. The thief attacked kids with a sharp edged weapon who suffered minor injuries. The kids raised hue and cry, attracting the attention of neighbours who rushed to spot and caught hold of the thief.
Locals handed over the burglar to police and shifted kids to hospital where they were discharged after first aid.
“We have registered a formal case in this regard,” said police official.
