Baramulla/Msy, 44 Government forces Friday morning launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in old town Baramulla in this north Kashmir district.
Reports said heavy contingents of government forces arrived in several areas of old town Baramulla and laid siege to conduct searchse in these localities
CASO, according to reports, was launched after a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area.
The forces launched a similar operation in Drangbal area of the town after inputs about the presence of militants. However, the operation ended without any contact with the militants.
Three civilians were shot dead by unknown gunmen in the town on Monday night this week
