Ang: A Srinagar girl, Farheen Fayaz who represented India in the Junior World Pencak Silat Championship 2018 has won the Bronze medal by defeating her rivals.
Farheen Fayaz, daughter of Fayaz Ahmad Mir, resident of Humhama Bagandar New Airport road represented India in the junior world Pencak Silat Championship 2018 that was held from 23rd to 29th April 2018 at Songkhla, Thailand.
Farheen won the bronze medal and she was given the diploma of honour (Bronze) in the female junior, age group of 14-17 years by the president, International Pencak Silat Federation.
“She has a great passion for the game and making serious efforts to come among the top contenders,” family said, adding that she got support from family and also from her coaches especially Muhammad Iqbal, JK Sports council, Srinagar and JK Public School Humhama
