Srinagar/April,30:Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces broke out early Monday morning in Drabgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district .
Quoting official said a joint team of army, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Drabgam village. The militants,sources said, were hiding in the area opened fire after a forces’ party closed in on them, triggering a gunfight.
Zonal Police headquarters on its twitter handle confirmed that the encounter with the militants is going on and further details are awaited.
