Camp under GSA held at Miran Sahib, Gram Shakti Diwas celebrated

Jammu: As a part of ongoing campaign launched by Prime Minister of India on April 14, 2018 in the name of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan-Special Central Intervention for obtaining saturation in 7 targeted schemes, awareness cum registration camp was organised in the premises of Block Development Office Miran Sahib, R.S Pura.

Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. MLA RS Pura Gagan Bhagat, Executive Engineer PDD Ghandi Nagar Division Padam Dev Singh, AEE Miran Sahib Manjeet Singh, AEE Bishnah Ajaypal Singh besides other officials from PDD, Revenue, Rural Development, Health and Family Welfare, PHE, Social Welfare, FCS & CA, Education departments and nodal officers for implementation of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan were present on the occasion.

The event saw distribution of LED bulbs under Pradhanmantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojna (Saubhagya) during Gram Shakti Diwas.

Executive Engineer PD Singh informed that 350 new connections have been provided in remote areas of Bishnah and Miran Sahib.

While speaking on the occasion, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma exhorted upon the concerned department to undertake more rigorous and intensified outreach campaign with application of innovative methods to cover left out families for achieving complete saturation under GSA  so that most of the people can be benefitted from schemes initiated by centre government

He also directed the concerned departments to ensure door to door outreach of schemes including free LPG connections, electricity supply, Jan Dhan accounts, two PM Insurance schemes and the immunization of children with objective to ensure total coverage and saturation of schemes that will ensure success of this Abhiyan.
