Srinagar: Written test was conducted for 125 posts all over Jammu and Kashmir and today’s massive examination exercise was conducted amid tight security and strong vigil at the examination centres.

Executive magistrates were deployed to keep a vigil on the movement of people at the examination centres and heavy contingents of police were deployed to ensure peaceful conduct of examinations.
Reports said 80,000 candidates appeared in today’s written test for 125 posts advertised by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board last year.
Authoritative sources told KNS that around 7000 to 8000 candidates will be shortlisted for the Urdu test which would be treated as qualifying examination.
The candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of their performance in the Urdu test and the total number of candidates to be shortlisted for interview will be most likely more than 500 but less than 600.
Sources also said that the final selection of the candidates for 125 Naib Tehsildar posts will be completed in less than two months. (KNS)
