Kashmiri student reported abducted in Punjab with Cyber Cell Delhi, J&K police

Srinagar: A Kashmiri student who was reported to have been abducted from his rented room in Punjab has been taken into custody by Cyber Cell Delhi, a police spokesman said on Friday afternoon here.
He said a youth Adil Hussain Teli, son of Mohammad Hussain Teli, resident of Noonamai, Yaripora, Kulgam was reported by the media to have been kidnapped by some armed person early in the morning from his rented accommodation at Mithu Basti, Jallandhar, Punjab, where he was pursuing Bacholars Degree in Computer Application from St Soldiers Group of Institutions.

The matter was instantly taken up with the officials of Punjab Police (PP), he said adding PP informed the authorities in J&K that Teli has been taken into custody by the Cyber Cell of Delhi police and is being investigated for his alleged involvement in hacking and economic offences.
He said the authorities in J&K Police are in touch with their counterparts as well. The family members of Teli have been informed, he added.
