As North, South Korea held summit, Oppn pitches for talks between Indo-Pak

Srinagar: As the leadership from North and South Korea held historic summit today, the opposition mainstream political parties of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday said that the two neighboring countries, India and Pakistan should also discuss the issues through dialogue.
National Conference (NC) Provincial president, Nasir Aslam Wani told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the meeting between North and South Korea is a positive step. “I wish that India and Pakistan will also sit on a table to discuss the issues,” he said.
He said that there is always a right time for talking and the issues can be solved through a dialogue process only.
Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Muhammad Yasin while talking to KNS said that the summit between the South and North Korea is an open message to both the countries including India and Pakistan to held a dialogue in a peaceful manner to resolve the issues.
“I believe it is the right time for both the countries to resolve the issues through a peaceful dialogue process,” he said.
Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN), president and former minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the meeting between the leadership of South Korea and North Korea is a message to the leadership of India and Pakistan that they cannot remain on war but have to be friends to each other.
“The meeting of top leaderships of North Korea and South Korea is a message to the leaderships of India and Pakistan that they cannot remain on war always but has to befriend each other,” G H Mir tweeted. (KNS)
