Jammu: A delegation of women legal luminaries, intellectuals and academicians from the national capital called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here Wednesday.
The Chief Minister apprised the delegation about various steps being taken by her Government for attaining gender parity in the State and working for the welfare of sensitive sections of society like women, children etc.
The delegation complimented the Chief Minister for bringing a stringent law to punish the convicts of crimes against women in the State.
The Group comprised Monika Arora, Supreme Court lawyer; Meera Arvind Khadakkar, retired Judge; SonaliChitalkar, Delhi University teacher; Sarjana Sharma, journalist and Monicca Agarwal, social activist.
