Dissent within BJP on Lal’s anti-party activities

Chowdhry Lal Singh the sack BJP Minister tends to hijack the political scene in two Jammu districts Kathua and Samba just for raising the demand for CBI inquiry into the rape and murder of Kathua minor girl supported only by fringe elements of the Jammu centric political parties. BJP central high command’s tendency to spare Lal Singh on his anti-party activities in two Jammu districts would by all probabilities increase the intensity of the dissidence within the ranks of the state unit of the BJP ahead of crucial 2019 parliamentary elections and would simultaneously put on back foot the Narendra Modi government for supporting a support of those accused in Kathua rape and murder case about whom the Delhi Foresenic Laborartory has provided a clinching advice. Though Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to silence his critics over the Kathua rape and murder case by passing an ordinance that allows death penalty to people convicted for raping children upto 12 years of age but the silence of BJP central high command or overt and covert support to Lal Singh on demand for CBI inquiry could neutralize the encouraging response Prime Minister Modi has shown by passing the ordinance for death penalty to rape accused convicts. Since Lal Singh is also counted among those power wielding politicians against whom case of massive land grabbing are pending in the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) for last several years, So any attempt of BJP central high command to either bring back Lal Singh into Mehbooba’s cabinet or continue silence over his anti-party activities over demand for CBI probe into Kathua rape and murder case can damage the electoral prospects of the saffron party in its strong bastions in Jammu region.

Remaining indifferent to the anti-party activities of Lal Singh in an election can prove disastrous for BJP in the two parliamentary constituencies of Jammu region in the upcoming 2019 crucial parliamentary elections.

More worrying for the BJP is the resentment brewing up in the party against Lal Singh over his antiparty activities in two districts of Jammu region even after the recent statement of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he asked the party’s MPs and legislators to desist from making controversial remarks over contentious. Remaining indifferent to the anti-party activities of Lal Singh in an election can prove disastrous for BJP in the two parliamentary constituencies of Jammu region in the upcoming 2019 crucial parliamentary elections.
