From the day the demand over the CBI probe by the fringe elements of Jammu centric political parties came in for sharp criticism and condemnation from people of all shades within and outside Jammu & Kashmir state the media in Jammu particularly the vernacular in their news reports overtly and covertly tend to contradict the clinching evidence provided by the Delhi Forensic Laboratory by raising imaginary questions on the investigative conducted by the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police under the supervision of the Hon’ble High court of Jammu & Kashmir. The accused of the Kathua minor rape case knocking the doors of the Hon’ble high court of Jammu & Kashmir for quashment of the Crime Branch investigation is an attempt to make the investigation of Kathua rape and murder a contentious political issue between PDP and BJP running the affairs of the Jammu & Kashmir and interesting would be the response of the state government’s law department to the case filed by the accused against the Crime Branch. No were in the world so for media has sided with the demands of the accused in a murder case and that two of an eight year old minor girl. Jammu media is scripting a shameful story of its unique kind by trying to attach the political emotions of Jammu people with the trial of the accused in a murder case which prompted both the central and state government to promulgate ordinances of unique kind for allowing death penalty to the rape accused convicts. Media in Jammu can’t dispute the fact that the report of Delhi Forensic Laboratories has not been inked by Kashmiris but the non Kashmiris working there. If the fringe elements of Jammu centric political political parties are constrained to accept the charge sheets of the crime branch investigation but they have no point to raise questions on the medical examination report of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory.

Lawyers of Jammu have already come in for sharp criticism and condemnation from the Supreme Court and Bar Council over the conduct before and the filing of the charge sheet in Kathua rape and murder case and better for print and electronic media in Jammu to stop excessive media coverage to the proponents of the CBI inquiry into Kathua rape and murder case.

Standards of humanity demand that the accused of any murder case should not get any overt and covert support over their demand for an investigation on their own whims and wishes. Much has been debated and discussed about the Crime Branch investigation but the medical examination report of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory proving to be a clinching evidence in the Kathua rape and murder case has left no scope what so ever for either the print or electronic media to raise questions on the investigators of the crime branch who conducted the investigation in a short span of time under the supervision of Hon’ble high court of Jammu & Kashmir.
