Srinagar: Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Srinagar Mohammed Akram Chowdhary informed that 1855 cases were decided during a national Lok Adalat organized here at District Court Complex Moominabad.
The chairman, who is also Principal, District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, said seven benches were constituted in which 2012 were taken up, out of which 1855 were settled.
He further informed that an amount of Rs 1,40,10,267 was settled in all cases and amount of Rs 1,24,14,520 was awarded as compensation in Motor Accidental claims, besides, an amount of Rs 2,40,000 was realized as fine in various challans.
