Srinagar: In order to overcome the academic loss to students, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Dr G.N. Itoo has directed all the Heads of the Institutions to arrange extra classes for the students and ensure the timely completion of syllabus.
He directed all the headmasters and head teachers to compulsorily take classes alongside other teaching faculties of their respective institutions. The instructions were issued by the Director at a special meet of Joint Directors, Chief Education Officers and DIET Principals held here Monday. He directed all the Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers to personally participate in the monitoring mechanism and ensure the implementation of these instructions on ground level.
DSEK appreciated all those heads of the institutions and teachers who had voluntarily kept their schools open for students despite holidays. He said the conduct of class work in some schools despite Sunday is very encouraging and a formal order shall be issued very soon in this regard.
Taking a stock of teacher training programs in Kashmir, DSEK directed SIE Kashmir to prepare a roadmap to make the conduct of the trainings more fruitful and effective.
