Srinagar /April,14: Top Bakerwal youth leader Zahid Parvaz presently President Gujjar & Bakerwal Youth Conference has appealed the Supreme Court of India to hang the accused to death like Afzal Guru who according to him was hanged to death merely to satisfy the wishes and aspirations of the people of India
Local news gathering agency KNS quoted Zahid Pravaz as saying that as the Supreme Court announced the hanging of Afzal Guru to satisfy the aspirations of the people without finding on record any evidence about his involvement in the parliament attack case the same yardstick should be applied to the accused of Asifa rape-n-murder case to satisfy the sentiments and emotions of thousands of people who hit street for justice to eight year old Kathua minor girl Asifa.
Reacting to the resignation of two BJP ministers from the council of ministers for participating in the rally of Hindu Ekta Manch for support to accused the youth Bakerwal leader said ” both the ministers are law makers and their mere resignation from the council of ministers is not enough but they should be disqualified for life so that law makers don’t dare to support the accused of such heinous crimes in future. We also appeal Supreme Court of India to cancel the licenses of those lawyers who called for a strike in support of the accused and stopped police from filing charge sheet in the district court Kathua. Exemplary punishments to both the accused and their supporters is must to ensure that such heinous crimes are not committed and shielded or supported in future”.
He said ‘ the ongoing agitation will continue till the accused are hanged to death, the two BJP ministers are disqualified for life after formal acceptance of their resignations and the license of lawyers who called for strike in favour of the accused and stopped crime branch officials from filing the charge sheet are cancelled’
He also sought stern action against district SSP Kathua who sent the accused including Deepak Khajuria and the mastermind of minor girl’s rape and murder for the recovery of the girl. He appreciated the Chief Minister for taking action against the two BJP ministers and the Crime Branch for taking the investigation to logical end despite pulls and pressures. He hailed the Chief Minister for the measures taken by her for the speedy trial of the case.
Hitting out at the people who were demanding CBI probe into the kathua gang rape and murder case the Bakerwal youth leader raised a counter question and said what CBI did with the murder case of two Shopian women Asiya and Neloofar.
