Jammu: Governor N. N. Vohra , Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh have in their separate statements paid tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, which is being celebrated Friday.
In a message, the Governor recalled that Dr. Ambedkar, an erudite scholar and outstanding legal luminary, had made invaluable contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution. He also recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s commitment towards nation building, particularly in regard to the upliftment of the weaker sections of society.
In her message, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said Dr. Ambedkar was a great legal luminary and social reformer who would always be remembered for his contribution in framing the country’s constitution.
Mehbooba Mufti also recalled the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar in the upliftment and development of weaker and down trodden sections of the society in the country.
In his message, the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh recalled that Dr. Ambedkar, an erudite scholar and outstanding legal luminary, had made valuable contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution. He also remembered Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution in uplift of the needy, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
