Srinagar/April,11: Government forces Wednesday evening called off the search operation at the gunfight site in Khudwani area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir as no militant bodies were fiund under the debris of the blasted houses.
Earlier in the day , forces said a search operation was launched to lay hands on the militant bodies from the site of the firefight that broke out Tuesday night.However, no militant bodies were recovered from the debris.
Forces had earlier detonated the house in which the militants were holed up by using explosives, razing it to the ground. Two adjacent houses also caught fire.
Army had even used helicopter gunships to fight out the militants.
A soldier and four civilians were killed and sixty others injured in the clashes.
