Kupwara/April,6: Government forces Friday morning launched search operation in Jugtiyal area of frontier district Kupwara .
Reports said joint forces of Jammu and Kashmir police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and Army launched the search operation in the area following “intelligence inputs about presence of militants in the area”.
The area under searches is around 12 Kms from Kupwara headquarters and barely four Kms from Halmatpora forests where five suspected militants and five security forces personnel were killed during a gun battle last month.
