Four persons including three members of a family die in two road accidents

Srinagar: Four persons including three members of a family were killed in two separate roads accidents in Kashmir Valley on Wednesday.
An official said that three members of same family were killed in a road accident on Jammu Srinagar highway near Awantipora on Wednesday morning, while they were returning home from Jammu city.
He said that a private vehicle of a Sopore family in which they were traveling collided with a speedy truck near Awantipora resulting on spot death of three family members including husband, wife and son while another minor son received serious injuries and was rushed to local hospital for advance treatment.
The deceased were identified as deceased as Ghulam Nabi Dar son of Ghulam Muhammad Dar, his wife Jawharia Begum, his minor son Nasir Ahmed Dar. The injured kid was identified as Yasir Ahmed.
“A case in this regard has been registered and investigation taken up,” said a police official.
Meanwhile, one person was killed and another was injured when a stone rolled down from a hill and hit their vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu highway on late hours of Tuesday.
An official said that a heavy stone rolled down from a hill and hit a car resulting in the injuries to two persons at Digdol on the highway.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where one of them identified as Barak Bilal, (23) a resident of Sanat Nagar, Srinagar was succumbed to his injuries.
The injured Dawood Rashid (22), a resident of Khanqah has been admitted to Ramban hospital, officials said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti expressed grief over the death of three members of a family of Hathlangoo, Sopore in a road accident at Lethpora on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway Wednesday morning.
The Chief Minister has prayed for peace to the departed souls and conveyed her sympathies to the kin of the deceased.
