Director Agri(J) inaugurates IFFCO Bazaar Centre

Jammu:  Director Agriculture Jammu, H. K. Razdan, inaugurated IFFCO Bazaar Centre at Laswara village in Bishnah block here Tuesday.

While speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture advised the farmer producers to take full advantage of this centre as all the IFFCO products and inputs are being made available. He also asked the farmers to avail benefits of various farmer’s welfare schemes and programs being implemented by the Department of Agriculture. Razdan stressed on the adoption of integrated farming techniques with market oriented approach in production of agriculture crops.

Earlier, State Marketing Manager IFFCO Jammu, Shakti Singh apprised in detail about the objective of IFFCO Bazaar centre and apprised that it is a IFFCO’s first Retail centre opened in J&K where all the IFFCO’s quality products like Urea/DAP/NPK, water-soluble, Bio-fertilizer, Sagarika, Seeds, Agrochemical, cattle feed will be available for farmers at genuine rates. He also told that on a purchase of maximum upto 25 fertilizer bags the farmer will be insured for one lakh amount that is Rs 4000 per bag. Besides, farmers will be guided on balanced fertilization program and use of other products. The fertilizer dealers will be guided on how to use POS device for acknowledging receipts/sales of fertilizers from this platform.

Chief Manager IFFCO, Nirmal Singh thanked Director Agriculture for inaugurating the IFFCO centre. Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu, N. K. Dubey, Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Jammu, S. Baljit Singh Raina, SDAO R. S. Pura Roshan Lal Bhagat, D. D. Bhagat besides other officers and field functionaries of the department were present on the occasion.
