Srinagar/April,4: Curfew was Wednesday imposed in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to thwart the attempts of protests against the killing of a youth in police action . Authorities have also snapped internet services in the area.
As reported already a local youth Gowhar Ahmad Rather (22) was grievously injured in police action on Monday following which he was admitted at SKIMS Soura where he breathed his last on Tuesday.
An official said that curfew has been imposed and Internet service snapped to prevent “law and order problems”.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a policeman and placed him under suspension over the killing of Rather.
