Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has also condemned the ‘new wave of violence in Kashmir’.

In a statement issued in Jeddah Monday, OIC General Secretary Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen called upon the world community to play its rightful role for a just and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant OIC and UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

He reiterated his call on India to allow access to the fact-finding mission of his Special Representative for Jammu and Kashmir and the OIC’s Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission to Jammu and Kashmir.

Secretary General Othaimeen conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished for speedy recovery of the injured.
