Srinagar/April,3:Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a militant and an over ground worker of Ansar Gazwat ul Hind from Hygam area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official said “Acting on a specific input about the movement of the militants of Ansar Gazwat ul Hind led by Zakir Musa at Chik Hygam in Sopore, the joint team of army and SOG launched searches and arrested the two activists.”
The officer identified the militant as Parvaiz Ahmad of Dadsara, Tral, and the over ground worker as Aamir of Bohoo, Awantipora. “Two hand grenades and one pistol were recovered from their possession”.
The official further said that the duo was planning to recruit fresh youth in the outfit in north Kashmir. He said that a case has been also registered in this connection.
