Srinagar/April,3: Shutdown called by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani the Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umer Farooq the Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman and Mohd Yasin Malik the JKLF Chairman in response to last Sunday’s militant and civilian killings in South Kashmir parts hit the normal life for the second consecutive day Tuesday
Commercial establishments and offices are shut and public transport is off the roads. Educational institutions have been closed across Kashmir.
Huge contingents of government forces are enforcing restrictions in almost of all parts of old Srinagar city. However, vital road link leading to SKIMS Soura hospital was kept open.
