Militant tuned cop shot dead in Pulwama

Pulwama: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a former militant in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The victim identified as Muhammad Ashraf Mir was running ‘Hilal Hotel and Restaurant’ in main town Pulwama.
Reports say he was on way towards his home at Machpuan after visiting a family in Dalipora when gunmen fired upon him. He was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama where he succumbed to his injuries.
Doctors treating him said that the victim had received three bullets, one in his chest, another in leg and the third one in belly.
Sources said that the victim was a former militant. And later on he had joined police department. He was an SPO and was presently living at Chanapora Srinagar.
A police official said that a case has been registered and hunt has been launched to trace the assailants.
