Srinagar/April,1: Two civilians are reported killed and more than 100 Over others injured in clashes near two gunfight sites in south Kashmir parts today.
Reports said that youth tried to march towards gunfight sites in Dragad and Kachdoora villages to help the militants escape the cordon but the forces stopped the march using live ammunition, pellets and tear gas to disperse the protesters. The clashes however continuef during which two civilians were killed and more than 100 others injured.
An official said that at least 50 civilians were brought to District Hospital Shopian for treatment. “20 of them were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment,” he said.
Over thirty injured were brought to District Hospital Kulgam. “22 were referred to Srinagar while majority of them were hit by bullets,” said an official.
At least four injured were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment. Local sources said that many injured were shifted to local health centres for treatment.the deceased civilians have been identified, reports said
