Srinagar: The Department of Handicrafts Wednesday organized a day-long artisan awareness camp at Kashmir Haat, Srinagar.
Joint Director Handicrafts Kashmir Nazir Ahmad Mir was the chief guest on the occasion. Publicity cum Exhibition Officer Reyaz Kawoosa, Assistant Director Handicrafts Srinagar Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Deputy Registrar INDUSCOS Mohiduin Shah and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
Joint Director Handicrafts called on the artisans to benefit from various state and centrally-sponsored schemes. He asked artisans to register with the offices of the assistant director handicrafts so as to avail the benefit from the various beneficial schemes.
Assistant Director Handicrafts Srinagar, while interacting with the artisans, said the purpose of the holding the awareness camp was to generate awareness and understanding among the artisan community so that they can come forward and avails various benefits of government-sponsored schemes.
