Pulwama: The vandalizing of public property and thrashing of a shopkeeper sparked a protest in Mandora hamlet of Tral town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said locals staged a massive protest and blocked the road demanding stern action against soldiers responsible for intimidating locals.
The protesters alleged that army soldiers thrashed a local and vandalized private property including vehicles in the village.
Locals said that Army assaulted a shopkeeper without any provocation and later damaged vehicles.
The protesters raised pro-freedom and anti-army slogans.
A police official said that they are ascertain the facts.
