Srinagar/March,22: youth tortured by unknown gunmen in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir early this month succumbed to injuries at SKIMS Soura Thursday.
After his abduction from his native Qaimoh area on March 8, Omais Rashid Bhat (20) was tortured and dumped in an unconscious state few hours later at Ves Batpora.
He was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he breathed his last Thursday morning, reports said, quoting sources.
Police have registered an FIR vide number 4/18 under section 364 RPC and had taken up investigation.
A spokesman had said that Bhat was abducted by unknown persons “with an intention to kill him”.
