Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar Wednesday said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Rejuvenation Project of Devika River has been prepared by Alternate Hydro Energy Centre of IIT Roorkee and its engineering team has also visited the sites of Devika River.
Responding to a news item published in a section of the press Wednesday regarding the present status of Devika Project, the DC said there are few observations in the project report which will be rectified within one week.
The Deputy Commissioner said a committee of senior officers has already been constituted to demarcate and retrieve the encroached land under demarcation map of Devika River. The demarcation work is in progress on war footing, he added.
He further said the acquisition of land for Treatment Plants is under process and will be done within one-month . Beautification and shifting of PHE store is also in progress and will be shifted soon, DC said adding that suitable land is identified for this purpose.
