Jammu: The traffic on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway on Tuesday remained suspended for several hours due to a blockade by protesters demanding district status for Nowshera area.
“Thousands of people along with school and college going students are sitting on sit-in on main highway and have blocked the highway at Nowshera bridge,” an official said. He said the protesters blocked the highway Tuesday morning.
