Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against an army man for allegedly beating up a teenager during an altercation during a cricket match in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that FIR No 21/18 under sections 341, 323, 506 RPC has been registered against the army man.
Giving details, he said the accused “ruthlessly” thrashed Syed Danish (14), son of Sumander Hussain after the former had an altercation with another boy over an issue during a cricket match in Chulla village.
He identified the accused as Syed Gulzar, son of Syed Bagh Hussain of 4 JAKLI.
The minor boy, he said, was admitted at a nearby hospital for treatment.
