Jammu: Governor N. N. Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh have in their separate statements conveyed his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh, and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message, Governor N N Vohra observed that the Navratras have a special importance for the lakhs of pilgrims who visit the Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji during this holy period to seek blessings of the goddess.Governor extended his warm greetings to all Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate this auspicious day as Navreh, the beginning of the New Year and the onset of Spring.Governor prayed that this propitious occasion will become the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity and peace, and bring progress and prosperity for the people of the State.
In her message, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said such festivals seek us to ask for divine blessings and forgiveness. She also extended greetings on the occasion of Navreh, the onset of Spring.The Chief Minister hoped that the two festivals become the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity and peace, and bring progress and prosperity for the people of the State.
In his message, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh has expressed the hope that the holy days would usher an era of peace and prosperity in the state. He also hoped that the festive days would be celebrated keeping in view the age-old traditions of communal harmony and mutual brotherhood.
