New Delhi: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology Jammu was awarded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi for securing second position in PG Scholarships to its graduates under program category Veterinary & Fisheries Science amongst the seventy-three Agricultural Universities across the country in a function organized here Tuesday.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Radha Mohan Singh to Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST of Jammu Dr. Pradeep K. Sharma, during the Inaugural Session of the Annual Vice-Chancellors Conference of Agricultural Universities (AUs) and interface meeting with ICAR Institute Directors at New Delhi.
FCS&CA market checking in Srinagar, realizes Rs 21500 penalty
Srinagar: The Enforcement Squad of Food, Civil Services and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department conducted market checking of various Srinagar markets from March 1 to March 13.
During the drive, 415 business establishments across the Srinagar district were inspected and erring shopkeepers were fined Rs 21,500 for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
