Kishtwar shuts to mourn killing of businessman

Jammu:A complete shutdown is being observed in Chenab valley’s Kishtwar district against the killing of a businessman last night.
Ishtiyaq Ahmad Dar was shot dead by unidentified gunmen behind Islamia Faridia Higher Secondary School Kishtwar. Reports said that all business establishments, schools and tutorials remained shut in the district.
People from both the majority and the minority communities have condemned the killing and demanding an impartial probe to nab the culprits.
Bar Association of Kishtwar also held an emergency meeting and condemned the killing. The bar members also decided to abstain from their work as a mark of respect to Dar.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the killing. Police handed over Dar’s body to his family members Saturday at 11:30 am after conducting the autopsy and finalizing of all legal formalities, reports said.
