BJP’s political intents on Kathua girl murder row

Encouraged by the growing tendencies of their party’s central high command over the agenda of religious polarization across the country in view of the assembly elections in some key state and 2019 parliamentary elections, the state BJP ministers working under the command and control of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti are trying hard to paint a communal colour to the ongoing investigation undertaken by crime branch of Jammu & Kashmir police into the rape-n-murder of an eight year old minor girl of Kathua district. Obviously the state BJP ministers unnerved by the charges of corruption and poor showing in the delivery of services are trying to paint communal colour to the ongoing crime branch investigation into the rape-n-murder of Kathua’s minor bakerwal muslim girl Asifa with the sole intent of prolonging the much awaited reshuffle in the cabinet which seems to be a priority for BJP and not PDP. After the recent budget session of the assembly the BJP ministers amid rumours of a major cabinet reshuffle in the state cabinet have tried to deflect the attention of their party’s central high command from the much awaited cabinet reshuffle to the demands for Additional DCs’ posts for Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote and the transfer of the investigation of the rape-n-murder case of Kathua’s bakerwal muslim girl from Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The BJP leaders instead of talking about the support to the demand for the transfer of the investigation of the rape-n-murder case of Kathua’s bakerwal muslim girl from Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should hang their heads in shame as the saffron party has been taking pride in the Modi government’s sermons on protection of girl child and prime minister Narendra Modi’s slogans “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” and “Ladli Beti”for the last four years.
Unfortunately some leaders of the state unit of the BJP have played an instrumental role in launching “Hindu Ekta Manch” only for flaring up a vicious campaign against the investigation of the rape-n-murder case of Kathua’s bakerwal muslim girl by the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir. Had the “Hindu Ekta Manch” not been the creation of the leaders of the state unit of the BJP, then BJP’s State Secretary Rajeev Sharma won’t have been named head of the “Hindu Ekta Manch” and two BJP ministers Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga would not attend a rally called to oppose the detention of those facing accusations of involvement in rape-n-murder of Kathua’s minor bakerwal muslim girl. Chief Minister has though turned out the demand of the BJP for the transfer of rape-n-murder case of Kathua’s bakerwal muslim girl from Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) but she has to remain extra vigilant in view of the nefarious designs of some BJP leaders reportedly engaged in stage managing violent protests against the ongoing crime branch investigation into this rape-n-murder case of a minor girl.
