Shopian/March,5: Thousands of people on Monday participated in funerals of four youth and a militant, who were killed yesterday in army firing at Pahnoo village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district. At Malikgund Shopian, six rounds of funerals were held for slain youth Muhammad Shahid Khan until the filing of this report.
Pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans were raised as thousands of people including women and children were accompanied funeral processions. Women were seen beating their chests and throwing flower petals and sweets on the bodies of slain youth.
