Jammu: Governor N. N. Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh have in their separate statement greeted the people on Holi and hoped that the festival of colours would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor N N Vohra observed that the celebration of festivals, a valuable part of our rich cultural heritage, strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and amity. He expressed the hope that this Holi would spread happiness and joy all around and promote harmony.Wishing a happy Holi to the people, Governor prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In her Holi greeting message Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said Jammu & Kashmir is an abode of rich cultural heritage and values and celebrating such festivals strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and amity in the State. Mehbooba Mufti prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the people on the occasion.
In his message of felicitations on the eve of Holi, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh said the festival forms an important part of the festivals, which hold a special place in our cultural milieu as it is celebrated by every community and section of society.
Deputy chief minister further prayed for the well-being of people on occasion and hoped that the festival of colours would usher peace and prosperity in our state.
