Pulwama: Government Forces this afternoon cordoned off District Development Commissioner’s office here in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and launched room-to-room search operation.
An official said that DDC office was cordoned off and a search operation was launched after the inputs about the presence of militants there.
Reports said that combined forces comprising 55 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, 183 Battalion CRPF and SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police emerged into DC office premises and asked all the employees and officials to leave their offices.
Reports added that no arrests were made during the operation. The operation disrupted normal work for some time.
A police official said that security guards had observed a person along with a bag moving suspiciously. “During frisking nothing incriminating was found,” he added.
