Ramban: District Development Commissioner Ramban, Tariq Hussain Ganai convened meeting with revenue officers, engineers and representatives of construction agencies working on prestigious four laning project of NH-1A from Nashri to Jawaharlal tunnel and Railways for resolving confronting issues and review the progress on implementations of CM’ directions.
The meeting was attended by SDM, GOOL, Pankaj, SDM, Ramsoo, Vikar Gari, SDM, Banihal Vikas Verma Engineers of PHE, PDD, PWD and representatives of the construction companies, AFCON, IRCON Railway, Navayuga, Ramky, HCC, GAMMON India, and NHAI besides other officers.
DDC reviewed the progress made in the implementation of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s directions passed to the different construction companies during public outreach program held here.
Taking into account importance of prestigious Railways and four lane works, DDC assured the concerned executing agencies that requisite steps shall be taken to remove any bottlenecks in timebound implementation of the project . Some issues were also resolved on the spot.
DDC directed the companies to restore water sources affected due to construction works being executed under Railways and four laning projects or provide alternate water supply to the areas. He exhorted upon the construction companies to provide employment avenues to the locals .
DDC also directed the concerned authorities to ensure better upkeep of NH1A and install signboards at all crucial places.
