Forces launch CASO’s in Srinagar outskirts

Srinagar: A Cordon and Search Operation was launched in Mukhdam Bagh Mochow Bagh-e-Mehtab area in the outskirts of Srinagar city.
Reports said that door-to-door searches were conducted.
Locals informed that combined forces emerged in the area and started search operation.
“Identity cards were checked while pedestrians were frisked too,” said a local from Mukhdam Bagh Machawa area.
Meanwhile, gunshots were reportedly heard in Bachpora Soura area of Srinagar city after the combined Forces cordoned off several houses.
However, a police official denied that any round was fired there. He said that a couple of houses were cordoned off after the inputs about the presence of militants.
“The search operation was launched, however, no contact with any militant has been established,” he added.
