Srinagar: The medical staff including doctors of Bandipora’s district hospital on Wednesday threatened to lock down the hospital premises as their salaries have not been released from past three months, despite repeated pleas to concerned authorities.
The aggrieved staff said in wake of not been able to get salary from past three months, they are facing immense hardships. They added from last three months they have run from “pillar to post”, but their repeated pleas had fell on “deaf” ears and said they have been forced now to lock down the hospital premises. When contacted chief medical officer (CMO) Bandipora Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo said that he has talked with the Director Health Services Kashmir regarding two month pending salary of the staff at the hospital.
CMO said Director Health has assured him that salaries will likely be credited into the accounts of employees within three days.
