DDC Anantnag chairs DLRC meet

Ang: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik Friday chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) for the 2nd quarter of 2017-18 here at DakBungalow Khannabal.
On the occasion, the DDC was informed that by the end of December 2017, Rs 408937 lakhs have been deposited out of which an advance of Rs 304436 lakhs has been made making the credit-deposit ratio of 74.44%.
Under the priority sector, lending a credit of Rs 958.7 crore has been extended in favour of 25395 beneficiaries against the target of Rs 1630.13 crores, thereby registering an achievement of 62%.
The meeting was informed that a total of 133 bank branches are operating in the district, besides 83 Banking Correspondents (BC) while as new bank branches have been established at Peer Takiya, HillarArhama and Khannabal. Meanwhile, the DDC directed the bankers to establish BCs wherever, required.
With respect to linking of Aadhar numbers with the banking accounts for availing benefits under different schemes, all the bankers have been directed to establish Aadhar linkage centres for enrolment. The District Social Welfare Officer was also directed to submit the validation list of the beneficiaries under different schemes to the banks for electronic benefit transfer.
Regarding the skilling of the beneficiaries under different schemes, all the concerned officers were directed to ensure that training is provided by the RSETI. The institute so far, since inception trained 1642 candidates spread over 69 E.D.Ps of different nature, out of which 907 have been settled having almost 55% settlement rate. Out of 907 candidates, 518 candidates have been credit linked thereby depicting almost 57% credit linkage. Further, out of 907 settled candidates, 334 candidates are self-financed.
During the quarter under review, six training programs were conducted and 117 candidates trained under different training modules out of which 79 stands settled.
The meeting decided that insurance cover to MGNREGS job card holders will be provided under PMAPY, PMJJBY and PMSBY for which the LBM was directed to take up the matter with Assistant Commissioner Development, Anantnag.
Under KCC 29216 loan cases have been sanctioned for farm operating families till 31-12-2017 with credit exposure of Rs.351.38 crore. Out of the sanctioned cases, loans amounting to Rs.333.48 crore stand disbursed till the end of December 2017.
Meanwhile, the DDC instructed all the officers and bankers to work in synergy so that tangible improvements are witnessed at the ground level. He said due to lack of awareness, people are not coming forward to avail benefits under different schemes. He also called for organizing of camps at educational institutions so that students belonging to lower income families are able to avail loans in order to get a better education.
He said there is a need to identify the sectors where good dividends are subservient to capital infusion, adding cooperative sector is one such sector. The Deputy Registrar Cooperatives was directed to tie up with the Lead Bank Manager in order to rejuvenate the cooperative movement in the district under diary, agriculture and allied sectors.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Anantnag, General Manager, Industries, Chief Agriculture Officer, officers from other line departments- Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Sheep husbandry, KVIB, NURM, NULM, Lead Bank Manager, ADGM, RBI, Director RSETI, representatives of RBI, NABARD and other banks.
DC G’bal convenes joint meeting of Horticulture Deptt officials, Fruit Association reps
G’bal: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr Piyush Singla Friday convened a joint meeting of Horticulture Department and representatives of Fruit Association Ganderbal to discuss the issues relating to fruit growers and traders of the district.
The meeting discussed the establishment of Canning and Processing centre for utilizing the off-grade products, the establishment of Dry Fruit Mandi at Kangan, weaver of Rs 50,000 in favour of commission agents in Zanza mandi, Chattergul. Besides, desilting at Lar canal, Dab canal and Baba Canal were also discussed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC assured of taking all possible steps to resolve the discussed issues. He also directed concerned officers to ensure field visits so that the grievances of the fruit growers are redressed at an earliest.
The association representatives hailed the steps taken by the district administration in redressing the grievances of the farming community. They also hailed the steps of relocation and augmentation of the pipeline from the Zazna Mandi.
Chief Horticulture Officer Ganderbal and Chief Executive APMC Zazna were also present in the meeting.
