New Delhi: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said Union Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha has assured her that he would look into the issue of increase in air fares between Delhi and Srinagar.
Mehbooba took to social networking website, Twitter to share the development.
“Spoke to @jayantsinha ji about the increase in flight fares between Delhi & J&K. Tourism is the backbone of our state’s economy & he has assured me that he will look into the matter,” Mehbooba wrote on Twitter.
Various tourism players in Kashmir have expressed concern about manifold increase in air fares with the approach of tourism season in the Valley.
