Training camp for implementation of NAM held at Kupwara

kupwara: The Directorate of Indian System of Medicines and Homeopathic (AYUSH) in collaboration with Ayush Unit Kupwara Thursday organized day-long training –cum-awareness workshop of medical teams for implementation of National Ayush Mission (NAM) at DC Office Complex here.
The District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir inaugurated the camp. Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Medical Officer (Ayush)District Co-Ordination, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, officers of Education, Health, Information, ICDS projects, field functionaries of different departments associated with the Ayush were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the ISM authorities to create awareness among the people at grass root level and the field functionaries to implement the AYUSH type of treatment under National Ayush Mission.
He also sought suggestions from the health experts besides an action plan for establishing AYUSH Gram in the district so that people would avail the benefits of the ISM&H facilities. He said herbal gardens be established under the mission. He lauded the role of all stakeholders in organising such camps for medical teams and exhorted upon the doctors, paramedical staff to provide better health services to the needy people. He passed instruction to the concerned organizers’ participants to work with added zeal, zest and coordination in accordance with the guidelines devised under National Ayush Mission.
