Jammu: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Thursday inaugurated free Surgery Camp at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.
The camp was organized by the Rotary Club of Jammu City and Rotary Club Jalandhar Central in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services, J&K.
The camp would treat about fifty patients with different kinds of plastic surgeries including burn, cleft lips, plastic surgery and other malformations.
The Speaker appreciated the organizers for providing free treatment to patients from underprivileged sections of society. He asked them to conduct a Limb Replacement Camp in future in which amputees and other such patients will be treated free of cost.
Later, the Speaker went around the Hospital and inspected various renovation works. He asked the Hospital Management to ensure cleanliness in and around the Hospital premises.
Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Dr A.D.S Manhas, Deputy Director, Heath Department Jammu, Dr Dimple Singh, world renowned Plastic Surgeon, Dr Sanjeev Uppal, President Rotary Club of Jammu City, Anil Swaraj, Project Chairman for the Camp, Adeep Mehta President Rotary Club of Jalandhar Central, Mukesh Goel and others were also present on the occasion.
