Jammu: A meeting of the field and farm officers of Sheep Husbandry Department was held Thursday under the chairmanship of Director Sheep Husbandry Department, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar to review the functioning of the department.
While reviewing the district wise status of implementation and progress of various centrally sponsored and state sector schemes, the Director underscored the need to redouble efforts for achieving the set targets. He further emphasized to reach out to the breeders for providing all possible assistance regarding care and management of their sheep and goats. This will not only give boost to the development of healthy livestock but also help in upliftment of socio-economic status of the communities associated with livestock rearing, he added.
