Jammu: Three members of the Legislative Council Monday moved motions for electing two members from the Upper House to be associated with the joint House Committees for the period ending March, 2019.
Ghulam Nabi Monga, Javed Ahmad Mirchal and Ajat Shatru Singh moved motions “That the House concurs with the recommendations of the Legislative Assembly that the Legislative Council do agree to elect, according to the principle of proportional representation, through single transferable vote, two members each from the Upper House to associate with the Committees on Public Accounts, Committee on Estimates and Committee on Public Undertakings, respectively for the period ending March 31, 2019.”
The House agreed with the motions and accordingly passed them unanimously.
