Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh Saturday said Literature has a pivotal role in our life as it besides educating imbibes a sense of aesthetics and humanism in us.
Deputy Chief Minister was speaking after releasing “MAN DARPAN” a Hindi Poetry Collection compiled by Vikram Singh Sahi here at J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages Arts (JKAACL). The function was attended by Mamta Singh senior leader, several prominent writers, and people from different walks of Life.
While complimenting the author, the Deputy Chief Minister said this type of collection is very contemporary and needs to be appreciated by all. He said the book presents vividly the realities of life and society and it would also be a good addition to the literature of our state.
“The thoughts in the poem have been presented imaginatively and creatively. While as descriptive language has also been used,” Dr Singh added.
Earlier, Dr. Seema Sharma, presented the detailed view of the book “MAN DARPAN”,
The author also recited many of his poems and other works at the event.
The poetic collection presents a collection of emotions covering all aspects of human relations, religion, patriotism, spiritualism, socialism, politics and many more societal issues. The book is based on basic human values and empathy which a poet feels towards all people around him.
