Jammu: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri Friday moved motions for election of members for various House Committees for the next financial year.
The house will elect eleven members each for Committee on Public Accounts, Committee on Estimates, and Committee on Public Undertakings in accordance with Rule 344 of the Rules and Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
The Minister also moved motions to recommend to the upper house to elect two of its members for these committees according to the principal of proportional representation through single transferable vote.
